"Dulcimerville" Festival and Workshops
June 7 – 12, 2010, Black Mountain, NC. This new event is being planned and organized by well-known player and festival organizer Lois Hornbostel (previously of nationally known and highly rated festivals at Boone, NC and Cullowhee, NC). This week-long gathering of dulcimer playing and workshops will be held at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, NC. The Cincinnati Dulcimer Society presents a three-part workshop (4 ½ hours of instruction) featuring Jeff.
The workshops will include “Expressing Yourself Through Your Playing”, “You Paid for the Whole Dulcimer, You May as Well Use It!” , and “Beyond D” (exploring different keys and tunings). There will also be an open stage for performing, and an evening concert featuring Jeff. 10/16/09 - ArtWalk Concert Friday October 16, 2009; 7-9 pm, sponsored by NC Arts Incubator; located at 229 N Chatham Ave, Siler City, NC. Jeff will play solo and with Janet Furman; instrumentation will include mountain dulcimer, old-time banjo, fiddle, and guitar. Come listen and say "hi"!!!

8/20/09 - Will perform 30 minute concert with Janet Furman, followed by a 30 minute performance by the Carolina Mountain Dulcimer Players. An open jam session will occur after the concert. Come play!
Concert (open to the public): The United Church of Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, NC
8/8/09 (included in workshop on 8/8/09 noted above). Will perform traditional American and Celtic music, songs, ballads with Janet Furman. Instrumentation includes: mountain dulcimer, bowed dulcimer, old-time banjo, fiddle, guitar, and ? Flat Mountain Dulcimers, a group from eastern NC, will open the concert. 7/18/09: Workshops and concert at the “Pickin’ Porch”, sponsored by Mike Clemmer at the Wood N’ Strings Dulcimer Shop, Townsend, TN. Jeff will be doing a workshop Saturday afternoon (mountain dulcimer; and, if interest, intro to clawhammer banjo). Janet Furman will also be offering a bowed dulcimer workshop that afternoon. At 7 pm Jeff and Janet will perform on the Pickin’ Porch with mountain dulcimer, bowed dulcimer, fiddle, banjo, guitar, and voices. All are welcome! www.clemmerdulcimer.com
